The Edinburg Roadrunners of United League Baseball announce today they have traded outfielder Hunter Owen to the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in exchange for future considerations and have signed outfielder Robert Matlock.
Matlock, named Most Valuable Player by the Roadrunners last season, returns to Edinburg after a tryout with the Rockford Riverhawks of the Northern League. A Tennessee native, Matlock posted a .329 batting average and led the team in the hits, runs, singles and stolen bases catergories during the 2009 season.
