San Angelo, Texas---It is hard to tell which is hotter right now for the Colts, the hitting or the pitching? The Colts hand Edinburg their third straight loss at Foster Field 16-1. The Colts now extend their lead to 4.5 games in the North American League South Division.
Chandler Barnard (7-2, 3.56) was en fuego against the Roadrunners as he moved into second place in the league for wins with seven. Barnard put in 8 innings of work, only allowing 1 run off 5 hits, with no walks and striking out 10. The 10 strikeouts are a season high for a Colts pitcher. Jorge Quintero (3-6, 8.55) would chalk up the loss Quintero went 5.2 innings allowing 8 runs off 11 hits walking 3 and striking out 6. Clay Calfee (9) would get back into his groove in grand fashion. Calfee went 4-6, a triple shy of the cycle that included a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning. Cory Patton (14) and Landon Camp (11) would also send ball out of the friendly confines of Foster Field. The colts are well on pace to smash their franchise record of 123 home runs as they have sent out 105 long balls.
