Wellington Dotel inched the Roadrunners (24-34) closer in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run triple to right center field that allowed Matlock and Smith from first and second.  A sacrifice bunt from Jonathan Fernandez then allowed Dotel to score making it 6-5 score in favor of the Colts.

San Angelo picked up another run in the top of the seventh when Gaines was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and that allowed Ferrante to score extending their lead 7-5.

In the bottom of the eighth, Dotel hit his eighth home run of the season, a solo shot, cutting the Colts lead 7-6.
